I'll be honest... This was a figment of my imagination, and a product of having a messy desk. Curtis, Lance and I were going to go fish the Lower Provo river in the high, off color flows to see if we could wrangle up any local browns that were braving the elements. I hadn't tied any "new" flies for this trip, and the materials for this just so happened to be sitting on my desk junk pile. I even had a sample of the new RaidZap sitting there getting ready to test. We knew that they might be feeding on worms the next day, so I wanted to come up with something that had minimal bulk to cut through the fast running water. Very shortly into the trip, this fly produced a few fish in water that I wouldn't have thought to fish , but it did it's job by cutting through the current right to where the fish were holding. So yeah, what could go wrong by mixing two highly effective patterns like the Perdigon and a worm? Nothing (except for maybe hurting a few feelings). This is also a really cool pattern in colors like purple, orange, and tan as well.
