Jelly Jig

Whis jig not only is super simple to tie, it’s really effective as well! I first started messing with the Semperfli gel core fritz to make a body similar to a pheasant tail body. The gel core means that it’s pretty indestructible due to it being constructed of the same stuff as gel spun thread and bullet proof vests. The best part is that there are so many colors of the gel core fritz that you can make almost any color combo! My favorites are a dark brown (like a pheasant tail, and a tannish color (like a hare’s ear.) the veil on this fly is also a really important part because it kind of acts like a trigger for the fish. It has a little bit of UV qualities that make it stand out. I’ve loved messing with this pattern and I bet you will too!
