The Pinky Blinder
Curtis Fry-May, 2019
When I nymph, I usually like to have a good mix of somewhat imitative flies as well as general attractor style patterns. The Pinky Blinder is a solid attractor pattern that I will use in my team of flies. It features some flash and hot spots -- both key to a lot of nymph patterns -- as well as a nice soft hackle. I especially found these pink Coq De Leon tailing fibers to be a great part of a hot spot. It's a fun little pattern to tie!
