Southwestern Montana

Beaverhead-Deer Lodge National Forest has opened access to upper Elk and Hidden Lakes. Goose Creek fire mop-up operations are advanced enough to allow the USFS road above Elk Lake Resort to open. Regrettably much of the forested shoreline around Hidden Lake has burned because of the fire.
