Still Waters

Some lowland still waters can be approached for fishing. American Falls and Springfield Reservoirs have been open for weeks. McTucker Ponds are open and most ponds within host warm water species.  One includes hatchery rainbows.  Adjacent camping attracts motorized vehicles and raucous activities, so these ponds are not always tranquil. Ponds in Ryder Park are more peaceful! 

Stocking of upper Snake Region waters is only partially done. Ryder Park ponds have received most of it:  2000 catchable  ‘bows in Becker  Pond and 1000  in Riverside Pond. High country still waters are not approachable to date.
