This is a fly that was inspired by a balanced leech that my brother introduced me to a few years ago. That fly was a white balanced leech in size 8 with a silver bead, white simi seal type dubbing w/ a pearl flash mixed in as the body and hotspot of Fl. Orange dubbing behind the bead. At the time I was tying a lot of my streamers and leeches w/ offset beads in the “Half wit” style introduced by Lance Egan. Along with that I was also tying relatively smaller sizes mostly size 12 hooks for Euro nymphing. This fly has been productive dead drifted, jigged, and stripped. This fly is an easy tie and great for beginner tiers. Tie up your favorite variation and fish on.
